In the year 404, Huiyuan wrote a treatise On Why Monks Do Not Bow Down Before Kings (沙門不敬王者論).[4] This book symbolized his efforts to assert the political independence of Buddhist clergy from the courts of monarchic rulers. At the same time, it was a religious and political text that aimed to convince monarchs and Confucian-minded ministers of state that followers of Buddhism were ultimately not subversive. He argued that Buddhists could make good subjects in a kingdom due to their beliefs in retribution of karma and the desire to be reborn in paradise. Despite the Buddhists' reputation of leaving their family behind for a monastic life, Huiyuan stated "those who rejoice in the Way of the Buddha invariably first serve their parents and obey their lords."[1]
Zhou Botong realised that he had been tricked by Huang Yaoshi so he returned to Peach Blossom Island to demand an explanation from Huang. Huang Yaoshi was still embattled by the loss of his wife. Zhou Botong's confrontational attitude merely fuelled the anger and frustration in him. When Huang Yaoshi blamed Zhou Botong for his wife's death, Zhou retorted angrily that he had also suffered in a similar experience with Liu Ying. Huang Yaoshi and Zhou Botong started fighting but neither of them was able to defeat his opponent. Huang Yaoshi imprisoned Zhou Botong on his island by sealing all possible exit routes. Zhou Botong roamed the island and settled in a cave for the next 15 years. During that period of time, Huang Yaoshi and Zhou Botong taunted each other to fight and kept themselves occupied with their conflict. Their feud is resolved when Guo Jing visits the island and meets Zhou Botong.
... ovarian diameter must be ≥ 31 mm. The presence of PFOs was evaluated binary, thereby the visualization of at least one side (unilateral)/individual was considered positive [129] . It has to be recognized that an PFO/ " PCO " is according to Netter (1990) [21] just a " clinical finding similar to splenomegaly or hepatomegaly ; cystic ovaries are found in a multiplicity of states, which have nothing in common etiologically; the clinical management varies and is dependent on the etiology " . ...
In June 1962, he was appointed Communist Party Secretary of Weishi County. In December, he became the Second Communist Party Secretary of Lankao County. This region had declined into poverty and ignorance. The county had long been plagued by dust storms, waterlogging, and alkaline lands.[3] Jiao Yulu devoted his energies to fight economic backwardness. He mobilized the local residents to contend with the poor natural conditions. Due to years of toil, Jiao Yulu broke down from constant overwork and he was diagnosed with liver cancer. But he continued his struggle against natural disasters. On May 14, 1964, he died of liver cancer, aged 42.[3]

... In vEDS cells, an ER perturbation was suggested by the abnormal ER distribution of the protein disulfide isomerase enzyme and by reduced expression of FKBP22, an ER resident peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans-ER isomerase involved in the folding of COLLIII triple helix [108,139,140]. Since the perturbed ER redox state may influence the down-regulation of Bcl-2 and the activation of the caspase-dependent apoptosis [141], and FKBP22 can have an anti-apoptotic role acting on the expression of Bcl-2 and caspases [142], this aspect merits further studies in vEDS fibroblasts. ...

... [9,25] Overall, the main reasons reported contributing to the psychosocial burden among women (anxious, fearful, self-blame, powerlessness, disbelief, depression, and anger) in this domain were lack of understanding of abnormal Pap smear results and higher perceived risk of developing cervical cancer which also have negative impact on perception of self. [10,11,26] Domain 3: Worry about human papillomavirus infectivity Women of reproductive age were found to have a significantly higher mean score not only in general but also in both individual items of this domain " worry about HPV infectivity " compared to a menopausal group of women. Our results were quite similar to the study conducted in the United States which reported that women with abnormal Pap smear results were distressed due to a sense of shame or guilt when they came to know that these cervical changes are associated with HPV and which is a sexually transmitted infection. ...

The pathogenesis of preeclampsia is unclear but is thought to be related to shallow trophoblast invasion. An invasive phenotype is acquired by trophoblasts through the process of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). We proposed that EMT in trophoblasts is deregulated in preeclampsia. The homeobox gene DLX4 plays an important role in epithelial-...
