IQGAP1 is a scaffolding protein and overexpressed in many human tumors, including ovarian cancer. However, the contribution of IQGAP1 to invasive properties of ovarian cancer cells remains unknown. Here, we investigated the effect of IQGAP1-specific short hairpin RNA (shRNA) expressing plasmids on metastatic potential of ovarian cancer HO-8910PM ce...
Early detection and monitoring the treatment remain the most important factors in improving long-term survival of ovarian cancer patients. New biomarkers that individually or in combination improve the diagnostic performance of existing tumor markers are critically needed. This study uses proteomic approaches to identify new biomarkers for detectio...
The university's School of International Education is located here, where a large number of international students take classes throughout the academic year (however, most international students that take degree courses are in Minhang campus). The campus still houses a variety of scientific research institutions, State Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering for instance, although most moved to the new campus since 1987.
Ovarian epithelial cancer is the leading cause of death among gynecological malignancies. FSH may increase the risk of ovarian malignancy and play an important role in ovarian carcinogenesis. Our previous studies showed that FSH increases the expression of VEGF through survivin. In this study, the function and mechanism of FSH in ovarian cancer wer...
School of Environmental Science and Engineering Environmental Science and Engineering (ESE) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) originated from the municipal engineering program established in 1926. The School of Environmental Science and Engineering (SESE) was formally established in 1999 and environmental engineering doctorate program and environmental engineering master program of engineering were established in 2001 and 2002, respectively. In 2003,the first level discipline doctoral program of environmental science and engineering was approved.
Objective: To detect mRNA levels and expression of CD44, CD54, CD29 and E-cadherin (E-cad) and to discuss their relationship with formation and drug resistance of ovarian cancer SKOV3ip1 multicellular aggregates. Methods: Liquid overlay system was employed to obtain multicellular aggregates. mRNA levels and expression of CD44, CD54, CD29 and E-cad...
... These clinical and basic science studies therefore suggest that P4 might be useful as an adjunct treatment for ovarian cancer. In fact one study using a xenograph ovarian tumor model has shown that high doses of P4 enhance the apoptotic action of cisplatin [5], which is consistent with a very limited clinical trial data [6]. Unfortunately other trials in both animal and humans have been relatively unsuccessful (See review by Ho [2]). ...
To study the expression of VEGF, KDR, MMP-1, and its transcription factor Ets-1 on the interstitial neovasculogenesis in human cervical carcinoma on molecular level, which may provide further theoretic bases on judgement of prognosis and explain interregularity between neovasculagenetic factors. VEGF, KDR, MMP-1, and Ets-1 were detected in 87 cervi...
To study the expression of glucose transporter-1 (GLUT1) and its correlation with basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in epithelial ovarian neoplasm. Streptavidin-peroxidase complex technique was used to examine the expression of GLUT1, bFGF and PCNA protein in six cases of normal ovarian tissue, 20 c...
Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance The Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) was established by the Shanghai Municipal Government at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in April 2009. Its mission is to become a world class institute of research and higher learning with world class faculty. SAIF is committed to developing top talents for the financial world and to generate cutting-edge knowledge in financial theories and applications. As a member of Shanghai's financial community, it strives to contribute to the development of Shanghai as a global financial center.
Jiaozuo is noted for its blast furnaces and machine construction industries. The total GDP of the city in 2017 was 234.28 billion yuan, an increase of 7.4% over the previous year. Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 13.733 billion yuan, up 4.6%; the added value of the secondary industry was 13.841 billion yuan, up 6.7%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 81.143 billion yuan, up 9.1%. The per capita GDP reached 65,936 yuan. The three industrial structures changed from 6.4:59.3:34.3 of 2016 to 5.9:59.5:34.6.link
RAB25 belongs to the Rab family of small GTPases and is implicated in the development of various types of human cancer. To evaluate the role of RAB25 in ovarian cancer, RAB25 was knocked down by siRNA in HEY and ES‑2 human ovarian cancer cells. Autophagy, cell growth and cell apoptosis were evaluated. The results showed that knockdown of RAB25 incr...

The aim of present study was to investigate the role of preoperative neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) used as prognostic markers for predicting chemotherapeutic response and survival outcomes in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) who are receiving platinum-based chemotherapy. A total of 344 pati...

High levels of gonadotropin are a risk factor for ovarian cancer development. Aberrant gonadotropin levels benefit tumor angiogenesis, but the detailed mechanism is not clear. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the molecular mechanism of high levels of luteinizing hormone (LH) on the promotion of tumor angiogenesis and to outline a...
Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death among gynecologic cancers and is the fifth leading cause of all cancer-related deaths among women. The development of novel molecular targets is therefore important to many patients. Recently, the SRY-related transcription factor SOX2 has been widely reported to be involved in multiple pathophysiological...

To evaluate the therapeutic efficacies of preserving fertility treatment in patients with early cervical cancer. Sixteen patients with early cervical cancer treated by laparoscopic vaginal radical trachelectomy and pre- or postoperative chemotherapy were analyzed retrospectively, focusing on the treatment indication and management of high risk pati...
