To investigate the effects of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) on the proliferation, apoptosis, migration and invasion of ovarian cancer cells. Ovarian cancer cells of the lines SKOV-3 and ES-2 were cultured, and treated by FSH of the concentrations of 10, 20, 40, 80, and 160 mU/ml for 48 h or 24 h respectively. The cells without FSH treatment we...

With a century-long history of reputation in research and education, SEIEE is crowned as “the Cradle of Chinese Electrical Engineers”. The school now has 12 departments and principal units including the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Automation, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Department of Electronic Engineering, the Department of Instrument Science and Engineering, the Department of Micro-Nano Electronics, the School of Cyber Security, the School of Software, the Academy of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, the Center for Advanced Electronic Materials and Devices, the Center for Teaching and Learning Development, and the Cooperative Medianet Innovation Center.
On 3 September 2008, Atlantic Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company, agreed to buy China Huiyuan Juice for HK$17.9 billion at HK$12.20 per share, three times more than its closing price of HK$4.14 on the previous day. Its shares closed at HK$10.94 on that day.[4] The proposed takeover was subject to anti-monopoly review by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, which was scheduled to finish on 20 March 2009.[5] On 17 March, it was reported that Coca-Cola was considering abandoning the deal, as Chinese authorities insisted on relinquishing the Huiyuan brand name after acquisition.[6] On 18 March, the Ministry of Commerce disallowed the bid, citing market competition concerns.[7][8]
The Ministry of Commerce assumed administration of the college in 1904, and in 1905 changed the college's name to Imperial Polytechnic College of the Commerce Ministry. When the Republic of China was founded, the college was placed under the Ministry of Communications and its name was once again changed, this time to Government Institute of Technology of the Communications Ministry.
To establish a sprouting embryoid body model mimicking early embryonic vasculogenesis in human embryo. Human embryonic stem were (hESCs) were cultured on the mouse embryo fibroblasts and then were induced to differentiate to form three-dimensional EB. The hEBs were cultured in media containing various angiogenesis-related factors: vascular endothel...
Gestational diabetemellitus (GDM) is a condition whereby a mother's glucose tolerance is impaired with onset or first recognition during pregnancy which is not either type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus. Oxidative stress plays an essential role in diabetes, however, whether it also includes in GDM has not been fully clarified. Therefore, we investig...
Human embryonic stem (hES) cells are able to give rise to a variety of cell lineages under specific culture condition. An effective strategy for stable genetic modification in hES cells may provide a powerful tool for study of human embryogenesis and cell-based therapies. However, gene silences are documented in hES cells. In current study, we inve...

Objective To assess the effect of 17β-estradiol(E2) on cell proliferation, cell invasiveness and its regulation of MTA3, Snail and matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2) expression in the ovarian clear cell adenocarcinoma cell line ES2, and to further investigate the mechanism involved. Methods We first investigated expression of ERα, ERβ, PR and E-cad...

Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU; Chinese: 上海交通大学) is a major research university in Shanghai. Established on April 8, 1896 as Nanyang Public School by an imperial edict issued by the Guangxu Emperor, it has been referred to as "The MIT of the East" since the 1930s.[5][6][7] It is renowned as one of the oldest, most prestigious and selective universities in China. To investigate the inhibitory effects of Snail--a zinc finger transcription factor, anti-sense plasmid on the invasion of ovary carcinoma cell lines in vitro. Four human ovarian carcinoma cell lines ES-2, OVCAR3, HO8910, HO8910PM were analyzed for the expression of Snail and E-cadherin mRNA by RT-PCR. Then anti-Snail plasmid transfection was introd...
