There is evidence to suggest that follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) can facilitate the neovascularization of ovarian cancers by increasing vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression in cancer cells, although the underlying molecular mechanism of this process is not well known. Therefore, we investigated the effect of FSH on VEGF expressi...
To investigate the effects of sulindac metabolites on proliferation and apoptosis in the human umbilical vein endothelial cell line ECV304 in vitro. The proliferation profile of ECV304 was determined by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) method. Cell cycle distribution, apoptosis and the ultrastructure of ECV304 were detected by flow cytometry (FCM...
Ovarian cancer is the most lethal malignancy of the female reproductive system with an overall mortality rate of greater than 70%. Our group has demonstrated that Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) stimulates the proliferation and invasion of ovarian cancer cells, inhibits apoptosis, and facilitates neovascularization by increasing expression of va...
School of Foreign Languages Founded in 1979, SFL today boasts a contingent of high-caliber faculty known for their innovative teaching and award-winning research. Its 80 plus professors and associate professors work in English, Japanese, German, French, Translation Departments and College English Divisions. The dedicated and talented faculty are actively engaged in a wide array of research fields including theoretical and applied linguistics, English literature, translation studies, to name but a few. Their works appear in distinguished international journals as well as in books published by leading academic presses. SLF seeks to achieve the highest standards of teaching and learning in both sciences and humanities with an emphasis on critical and creative thinking, to serve the needs of the society by enhancing its intellectual life and contributing to the development of the nation. Apart from offering degree programs (BA, MA, PhD) in languages and translation, SFL is also responsible for designing and delivering a broad and diverse range of language-related courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students across the University. Following SJTU’s time-honored tradition of intellectual excellence and critical enquiry, SFL is committed to providing a learning experience of the highest quality for its students who are taught and guided by inspiring academics, making its graduates highly sought after by employers in various sectors.
Ovarian cancer is one of the most common cancers which cause female mortality. The knowledge of ovarian cancer initiation and progression is critical to develop new therapeutic strategies to treat and prevent it. Recently, SOX3 has been reported to play a pivotal role in tumor progression. However, the clinical significance of SOX3 in human ovarian...

Most buildings on campus were influenced by American architecture, while the main gate, which was built in 1935, is of traditional Chinese style reflecting the University's earlier status as the "Imperial Polytechnic College". The approaches to the main gate were via a series of marble bridges, similar to, although smaller than, those built in front of Tiananmen. However, recent road expansions have demolished the river as well as most of bridges. A copy of this famous gate scene have been built on the east of Minhang campus.
Objective: This research was carried out to investigate the effectiveness, rationality, and safety of laparotomy management compared with uterine artery embolization (UAE) combined with methotrexate (MTX) for the treatment of deep implantation cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP II). Materials and methods: Data from 29 patients seen between June 2008 and...
The university's School of International Education is located here, where a large number of international students take classes throughout the academic year (however, most international students that take degree courses are in Minhang campus). The campus still houses a variety of scientific research institutions, State Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering for instance, although most moved to the new campus since 1987.
... In vEDS cells, an ER perturbation was suggested by the abnormal ER distribution of the protein disulfide isomerase enzyme and by reduced expression of FKBP22, an ER resident peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans-ER isomerase involved in the folding of COLLIII triple helix [108,139,140]. Since the perturbed ER redox state may influence the down-regulation of Bcl-2 and the activation of the caspase-dependent apoptosis [141], and FKBP22 can have an anti-apoptotic role acting on the expression of Bcl-2 and caspases [142], this aspect merits further studies in vEDS fibroblasts. ...

The purpose of the study was to explore the role and mechanism of ataxia-telangiectasia mutated (ATM) protein in endometrial carcinogenesis. A reverse-phase protein array (RPPA) was used to analyze the expression of ATM signal pathway proteins in Ishikawa and progesterone-insensitive Ishikawa. ATM expression was detected in endometrium specimens by...

ARHI is a Ras-related imprinted gene that inhibits cancer cell growth and motility. ARHI is downregulated in the majority of breast cancers, and loss of its expression is associated with its progression from ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) to invasive disease. In ovarian cancer, re-expression of ARHI induces autophagy and leads to autophagic death...
In 1945, after the defeat of the Japanese in the Second World War, he returned his hometown and joined a militia. He once took part in the battle of liberating Boshan District. Jiao Yulu joined the Communist Party of China in January 1946, and he soon was transferred to Bohai, Shandong and appointed a group leader of the Land Reform movement. By late Chinese Civil War, he worked in Weishi County, Henan province until 1951. In June 1953, he was transferred to Luoyang Mine Machine Manufacturing Plant and worked there until 1962.

Huang Yaoshi is very protective of his daughter and loves her with his life as she reminds him of his deceased wife. He imparts all his skills to her since she was a child and hoped to groom her to become his heir. When his daughter reaches adolescence, he decides to find a suitable husband for her. Ouyang Feng visits Peach Blossom Island with his nephew, Ouyang Ke, to propose a marriage between Ouyang Ke and Huang Rong. Huang Yaoshi favours Ouyang Ke and wants him to be his son-in-law. At the same time, Guo Jing also visits the island with his master, Hong Qigong. Hong Qigong nominates his apprentice to be Huang Yaoshi's son-in-law. Huang Yaoshi had met Guo Jing earlier at Guiyun Manor and wants to kill Guo to avenge Chen Xuanfeng.

To study the expression of VEGF, KDR, MMP-1, and its transcription factor Ets-1 on the interstitial neovasculogenesis in human cervical carcinoma on molecular level, which may provide further theoretic bases on judgement of prognosis and explain interregularity between neovasculagenetic factors. VEGF, KDR, MMP-1, and Ets-1 were detected in 87 cervi...
